Man Who Had Been Banned From Premises Found Shoplifting
Security personnel at a Lawrenceburg retailer filed a police report Monday after discovering that a man who had previously been banned from the premises for shoplifting, had been caught shoplifting once again.
Officers with the Lawrenceburg Police Department were called to Walmart where security personnel had detained Lewisburg resident Bradley Dean Woodard, age 30.
They reported that he had attempted to leave the store with a shopping cart containing $575 worth of merchandise, without paying for it.
Officers report that although Woodard lives in Lewisburg, his ID listed a Pulaski residence. They quickly determined that there were outstanding warrants against him in Giles County, charging him with three counts of violation of probation.
Security personnel reported that Woodard had been caught shoplifting $250 worth of merchandise at the Pulaski store in August. They said that at that time he had been banned for life from all Walmart properties.
Woodard was arrested on charges of theft over $500, criminal trespassing, simple possession of a narcotic, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
He was incarcerated at the Lawrence County Detention Center under a $2,000 bond. He was scheduled an initial appearance in General Sessions Court on January 2, 2014.
